Continue readingI’m honestly not sure where to start with The All-Night Sun. I think I know what Zinna was trying to do, but I’m not sure it accomplished it for me. Or maybe Zinna just watched Midsommar and was like, let me do something similar, but different. Gotta capitalize on the trends!

Who was this French writer who had been upending French literature for years? Why hadn’t I ever heard of him? I keep up with popular books and there are translations of his work in English. How had I literally never heard of The End of Eddy?
Continue readingI really liked this one. Was it perfect? No. Was it still pretty dang good? Yes! Jimenez tackled love and friendship and loss and health issues with impressive balance and consideration.
Continue readingBruh, this book was not good. Like, I didn’t even want to finish it but I was about halfway through so I was like fine I might as well. Sorry Rai.
